I found online directions for transferring saved game data using an SD card.I successfully transferred what data I could (from about 39 games) from the old Wii onto the SD card. When I try to transfer the data to the new Wii it asks u0022Copy to the Wii System Memoryu0022 and I choose Yes.
I then get the message u0022You must first play this game on your Wii console to copy save data.u0022 This wasnu0027t mentioned in the online directions but I decided to use Wii Music as a test. I played around with the Wii Music game for awhile (Is there any way to bypass the guy that gives intro instructions) and it created a file. So since I played the game (as instructed) I then tried to transfer the Wii Music data from the SD card and now I get the message u0022This data already exists in the Wii System Memoryu0022 and, again, it wonu0027t let me transfer the data. I donu0027t understand why it wonu0027t let me transfer the data either before OR after I play the games.
